We all have dirt jumping bikes. They cost around £200- £400 and are very light and maneuverable.
There are pictures of our bikes on this page.
Rob M's bike is the shocking green one, it is a BTWIN, and is a very nice bike indeed.
my bike is the silver one, It's a Shogun Gatecrasher 100, I love this bike and it's very comfortable. I would recommend it to any beginner.
We have fallen off our bikes quite a lot but thankfully there are no signs of damage (to the bikes at least).
These bikes are made for one purpose, That purpose is to jump. They have been made with lightweight hardened aluminium and some steel parts for the gears handlebars and wheels.
We also use full face helmets that are shown here;

bikes are not the same as the ones BELOW as they have been modified recently
bike upgrades include new wheels, tires, forks, brakes, hand grips chains and gearing
Robert Blackburn's bike (shogun Gatecrasher 100) has been modified from 21 gears to 1 for better jumping and control. Running 25t on front and 15t on the back, wheels and tires have been replaces and i could see holes in them and the wheels so i could put a disk brake on the back.
Robert Matthew's bike has now got a new wheel, new brakes.
